The Little Green Man by Simon Armitage

This book kicked off our book group and even though it was the first one and no-one really knew each other very well there was little reticence in evidence when opinions (mostly negative) were expressed about this book. Chosen by Liz, who liked it very much, it started a discussion: “Do we choose our most favourite books in the whole world for book group?” The resounding answer was NO! because if certain books/authors were given a verbal lashing there would be permanent damage to the relationships in the group and possibly the features of the offending comment makers.  An idea for a section of the website could be: Sacred Book Cows.
