646 Book Club

The 646 Book Club is based in Hebden Bridge on the A646 in Calderdale, West Yorkshire.

We meet in each others’ homes every six weeks or so to discuss our book choices over a glass of wine or two. There are twelve of us, and we’ve been getting together since summer 2004. 
A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world

Our books are provided by the Central Library in Halifax, and Hebden Bridge Library. They lend 12 copies of each book and members of the group can keep them without fear of fines. The book club could not exist without the support of the library service and we are very grateful to them.
